On Friday, August 29, the draw for the group stage of the Conference League took place in Monaco, which determined the opponents of Donetsk’s Shakhtar in this stage of the tournament.
Let us remind you that the group stage of the Conference League is the only league with 36 teams, each of which will play 6 matches against different opponents: 3 at home and 3 away.
The draw defined six opponents for each of the 36 teams. For this, before the draw procedure, participants were divided into 6 pots with 6 teams in each. During the draw, each team received one opponent from each pot. The division of matches into home and away was also determined by the draw. Club coefficients from UEFA were traditionally used to form the pots.
