Bayer’s head coach Erik ten Hag has been dismissed from his position, informs the press service of the Leverkusen club.
Bayer has terminated the contract with head coach Erik ten Hag. Training will now be conducted by assistants from the specialist’s coaching staff,” the statement said.
Erik took charge of the German team in the summer of 2025 after being unemployed for eight months.
Recall that ten Hag took over Bayer in July, having played only three official matches: a victory in the 1/32 final of the German Cup against Sonnenhof Großaspach (4:0), a loss to Hoffenheim (1:2), and a draw with Werder (3:3) in the German championship.
