Monaco central defender Eric Dier expressed his disappointment at being left out of the England squad for the September World Cup 2026 qualifying matches.
“It hurts me every time I’m not in the England squad. Over the last two years, I have played almost every match for Bayern, won the championship and played in the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Champions League. I felt that I did everything I could to make the squad, but it just didn’t happen,” Dier is quoted by The Telegraph.
