The national team of Ukraine continues preparations for the World Cup 2026 qualifying match against Azerbaijan, which will take place on Tuesday, September 9 in Baku.
In the opening round of the qualification, Serhiy Rebrov’s team lost to the French national team (0:2) in Wrocław. In this match, Nazar Voloshin made his debut for the national team and shared his impressions in a comment to the UAF press service after the game.
"I was nervous, but not too much. I came on for five minutes, but, to be honest, it was hard to come on as a substitute in such a match. I hadn’t warmed up yet, while everyone else was already in motion. It was a tough match for the team, but there were moments when we controlled the game and had good chances to score.
Our team ran a lot in both attack and defense, we tried to play compactly. We need to analyze the game. There were many good moments," Voloshin said.
