Wirtz: "Everyone knows that the match against Slovakia was a disaster"

Germany midfielder Florian Wirtz commented on the victory over Northern Ireland (3:1) in the qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup.

“Everyone knows that the last match was a disaster and we wanted to make amends. Today we wanted to perform better and show more energy. In my opinion, we succeeded. We started the match well, and it was a good game that we can be satisfied with,” Wirtz is quoted by Bayern & Germany.
