With the dismissal of Erik ten Hag as head coach of Bayer a week ago, the club’s management faced the challenge of finding a new mentor.
As Fabrizio Romano reports on Twitter, the new head coach of Bayer will be Danish specialist Kasper Hjulmand, who previously managed the Denmark national team. The parties have already reached an agreement, and a contract will be signed within the next two days, after which Hjulmand will conduct his first training session in Leverkusen.
Recall that Hjulmand coached the Denmark national team from 2020 to 2024, leading them to their first semi-final in the European Championship since 1992.
