The Tunisian national team, having defeated the national team of Equatorial Guinea (1:0) away in another round of the World Cup 2026 qualifying cycle for Africa, secured first place in group “H” ahead of schedule, with two rounds to go in the campaign, and along with it, a ticket to the final part of the World Cup.
Tunisia became the 18th participant of the World Cup 2026, which, let us remind you, will feature 48 national teams.
Africa (2/9): Morocco, Tunisia.
Asia (6/8): Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan, South Korea, Australia.
South America (6/6): Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay.
North America (3/6): USA, Canada, Mexico.
Oceania (1/1): New Zealand.
From Europe, 16 teams will participate in the World Cup 2026, but no tickets to the World Cup have been contested yet. Additionally, two more teams will qualify for the World Cup through the playoffs.
Let us remind you that the World Cup 2026 will take place in the USA (11 cities), Mexico (3), and Canada (2) from June 11 to July 19 of next year.
