After a crushing victory over Norway (6:1) in their first match, the blue-and-yellows defeated the host team, Sweden (2:0). Today, the Ukrainians faced the Danes, who also had two victories in the tournament. Thus, today’s match determined the winner of the competition.

The first half saw a significant advantage for the Scandinavian team, who created at least five goal-scoring opportunities against our goal. The 13th minute proved unfortunate for the blue-and-yellows. The opponent received a set piece right on the edge of the penalty area, and Nicolas Gammelgaard skillfully placed the ball into the top corner.

After the break, the team led by Volodymyr Samborsky somewhat activated, but in the 57th minute, our goalkeeper, interrupting a one-on-one situation, fouled the Danish striker. The penalty was confidently converted by Jakob Ambak. The third goal entered the blue-and-yellow’s net in the 73rd minute: Darami was left alone in our penalty area and calmly outplayed Tkachenko.

Thus, 0:3 — a defeat for the Ukrainian national team, which took second place in the tournament.
