Defender of Kyiv’s "Dynamo" Oleksandr Karavaev commented on the draw result (2:2) of his team’s match against the capital’s "Obolon", which took place in the 5th round of the Ukrainian championship, on the YouTube channel "UPL TV".
— Your team started the match by scoring first and had the lead for a while, but could not maintain the score. What prevented it, what was the reason for that?
— Most likely, concentration, because we conceded in the last minutes. We will analyze it, draw conclusions, and already think about the next game.
— Tell us about your goal. Today you were a star overall, but there was also a star in Vitalii Buyalskyi, who provided his fourth assist.
— Players like Vitalii Buyalskyi and Andriy Yarmolenko are those who can make a difference on the football field at any moment. Each of us knows their strengths and knows that at any moment Vitalii can provide you a pass. The main thing is to open up correctly. The same applies to Andriy Yarmolenko. So you just understand on the football field who can do what and you have to be ready for that.
— "Dynamo" has a very busy schedule in terms of European cup matches and many players are being called up to national teams. How do you personally feel? Do you manage to take a breath between travels and matches?
— We have not been at home for two months — training camps, matches, travels. And then, when the break for national team matches came, we managed to rest. Now we have three or four matches in Kyiv, so it’s more or less normal. So we prepare, while we have time to rest at home, we rest, of course, but we also prepare for each game.
— Next, you have a match in the Ukrainian Cup against "Oleksandriya". How do you generally switch from one tournament to another?
— There is no time to come up with anything or switch: it’s just another game. Now this game will be a cup match, and it’s a one-off match. So we need even more concentration. That’s what the Cup is for, that one game, and we need to squeeze the maximum out of this match to progress to the next stage. So we start preparing tomorrow.
