Famous journalist Kostiantyn Andriiuik revealed details of the story about the detention of former goalkeeper of Dynamo, Shakhtar, and Chornomorets, Artur Rudko, while attempting to illegally cross the border.
— At the border between Ukraine and the unrecognized, Russia-controlled Transnistria, border guards detained a group of fugitives, among whom was Artur Rudko. According to media reports, he has already been sent to the training ground, where he is undergoing basic training and has joined the Ukrainian defense forces.
According to my sources, the timeline of events is as follows: in August 2025, Artur Rudko was declared wanted by the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. On August 22, he was detained, fined 17 thousand hryvnias, which he paid, after which he underwent a military medical commission. On August 31, Rudko was mobilized, and he was to head to the training ground. Apparently, he was released to gather his belongings, but on September 3 he was detained at the border with Transnistria along with a group of other fugitives. It was reported that each of them paid 8 thousand dollars for this “service”.
The facts are as follows: at the time of his detention, Artur Rudko was already mobilized and was supposed to serve in a military unit. Why he chose the attempt to escape across the border with Transnistria, where Russian troops are stationed, remains an open question. I am only stating the facts, and I leave the conclusions to you,” said Andriiuik on the air of the YouTube channel “Institute of Football Reputation”.
