According to the authoritative Spanish publication Marca, the 24-year-old footballer wants to compete for the Ukrainian athletics team in the 2028 Olympics as a sprinter.

Moreover, according to the source, Mudrik is already preparing for the Olympic Games and training with Ukrainian sprinters.

Recall that last year, the Chelsea midfielder was suspended from football because his A sample tested positive for doping. In the summer of this year, the Football Association of England charged Mudrik with violations of anti-doping rules. At the same time, the final verdict in this doping case has not yet been delivered. It is expected that the footballer will receive a suspension of two to four years.
