Today, September 23, the Ukrainian U-16 youth national team (players born no later than 2010) held a friendly match against the U-17 team of Metalist 1925 as part of their training camp.

The blue-yellow team’s gathering is taking place in Kyiv at NTK named after V. Bannikov. It started on September 22 and will last until the 27th. Within this period, the team is set to hold two friendly matches, the first of which was against the Kharkiv team.
The opening minutes of the match showed the advantage of Volodymyr Samborskyi’s players. The score was opened already in the 16th minute: Ostrovskyi made an accurate diagonal pass from his own half into the penalty area for Dyurynets. Oleg moved to the corner of the goal area and struck accurately — 1:0.
During the halftime, the coaching staff made ten substitutions, but the advantage remained with the national team. In the 52nd minute, Donik earned a dangerous free-kick at the left entrance of the penalty area. Kravchuk took the standard and scored with a brilliant shot into the far upper corner over the goalkeeper’s head.
Dyurynets set the final score a minute before the end of regular time, assisted by Boyko. 3:0 — a confident victory for Volodymyr Samborskyi’s team.
The Ukrainian U-16 team will play their second friendly match on September 27 against Kolos U-19. The match starts at 11:00.
