Famous commentator Igor Tsiganik revealed that at one time he was one of the initiators of inviting Mircea Luchesku to the position of head coach of Dynamo.
“We were once talking with Igor Mikhailovich, he asked me: 'Who would you take as a coach for Dynamo?'. I replied: 'Luchesku'. Igor Mikhailovich replied: 'Do you even understand what you are saying?'. I said: 'You asked me — I answered'.
