Famous manager and expert Vyacheslav Zakhovaylo supplemented his interview about the new striker of Kyiv’s “Dynamo,” Vladislav Blenutsa, with a post on Facebook.
“There are many fabricated, relevant, and irrelevant discussions. I decided to clarify my position. My speech is addressed to the fans of “Dynamo” (Kyiv). I am a native Kyivite and the blood of our club runs in my veins. I inherited this from my parents, I live with it, my children are raised with it, and I am sure my grandchildren will be raised with it too.
There is a war in Ukraine. We are all on edge. And for obvious reasons, we suppress anything related to disrespect for our state and people. Vladislav is Moldovan. We all know what propaganda is and how it works in different countries. Before the war, even in our country, there was a small percentage of idiots who believed in the “Russian World.” It all depends on the environment where you communicate.
In social media, there were noticeable inadequate posts from the young guy. Naturally, this outraged all fans. It’s not hard to imagine that the young guy listened to “Russia Today.” After the start of the war, the opinions of many people changed radically. To execute a young guy for listening to nonsense? I think that would be unwise on our part. Most of this hysteria around the player is inflated by journalists for the sake of promoting their publications. There is no logic in calling him a “vatnik.” If he were one, he would never have joined a Ukrainian club. Moreover, he publicly stated his political views. But that was not enough for the PR people.
I appeal to our fans and the guys from the sector. We must be smarter and wiser. We should give the young guy a chance to figure things out for himself. As soon as he encounters an air raid alert, everything will quickly fall into place in his mind. I am sure he came to us with good intentions. I propose we stop bullying the young guy.
Wishing everyone well. Glory to Ukraine!” — wrote the expert.
