Journalist and commentator Viktor Vatsko evaluated the performance of the goalkeeper of Kyiv’s “Dynamo,” Valentyn Morgun.
— His mistake was fatal, that’s obvious. It led to the third goal by “Karpaty” and the loss of two points for “Dynamo.” After the match, I spoke with a few goalkeepers — they all believe that this moment was key. Morgun had enough space and time to calmly take the ball in his hands, the defenders were blocking the opponents. But he decided to punch the ball and did it poorly — straight into the shot. After that, I think he psychologically 'drifted,' and this led to another mistake when he failed to react to Myroshnychenko’s shot.
At the same time, I agree with Denys Boyko: blaming Morgun for all the troubles of “Dynamo” is incorrect. He is only 24, and his experience in adult football consists of just a few matches. This is the result of the club’s staffing policy: they kept him without practice for years instead of loaning him out. Logically, a goalkeeper without games makes mistakes. Every goalkeeper has experienced this — both Shovkovskyi and Bushchan. The problem with “Dynamo” is not Morgun, but the fact that the team started the season with goalkeepers who have practically no experience at a high level,” Vatsko said on his YouTube channel.
