Manchester City forward Erling Haaland shared his thoughts after the 2−2 draw in the second round of the Champions League group stage against Monaco.
“We did not perform well enough. Of course, I do not feel good about not winning. In the second half, we did unnecessary things, and in my opinion, we did not play well enough. We did not deserve to win.
We need more energy. We need to pressure the opponent more, like we did in the first half when we dominated significantly more. In the second half, they took the initiative. Every Champions League match is tough. Remember last year when we were eliminated. Not many teams win their first two matches,” Haaland is quoted by BBC Sport.
