The coach of the youth team of Kyiv’s Dynamo, Oleg Venglinsky, commented on his team’s victory over Kharkiv’s Metalist 1925 U-19 (3:0) in the match of the youth championship of Ukraine.
Oleg Venglinsky— The score speaks for itself. Today we played a good, meaningful game. After the disappointing loss of points in Lviv, the guys were even more focused, understanding that we have no right to lose any more points. Therefore, there was a good, sporting aggression and execution of goal-scoring chances.
Of course, there were mistakes, but we must give credit to our opponent, who also showed a good game. There was worthy resistance from them, but within the rules. It was a true man’s struggle, in which we also showed skill, scored our goals, and by the end of the game, we could have turned the match into a rout.
— Today, the senior coach of the team, Igor Kostyuk, observed the game from the stands; tell us how you communicated with him?
— Nothing changed in the preparation for the match; everything he needed to communicate, he did. Of course, due to his absence from the bench, there was a certain discomfort, but the guys know well what they must do on the football field, so we only had to slightly adjust their actions. We were in contact with Igor Kostyuk, and he monitored all the key moments.
