The coach of Ternopil “Niva”, Mykola Lapko, commented on the reports that the head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Serhiy Rebrov, may leave the team for “Panathinaikos”.
— I’m confident that Rebrov isn’t going anywhere right now. He has to see this through to the end, as the qualifying cycle for the World Cup is ongoing. Yes, things aren’t going the best for the national team, and I think it’s a matter of honor for Rebrov to correct this. However, if he fails the next two games and the wave of criticism intensifies, he might write a resignation letter himself. Especially since an alternative option has already emerged, — Lapko is confident.
