Benfica’s head coach Jose Mourinho commented on the information that before the important match against Porto, he, along with several players and coaching staff members, contracted a viral infection.
“We all have good health, everyone trained, everything is fine. No one is prohibited from going to the match and playing. We hope the situation only improves. We are all going. Postponing the match? There is one player who is the main culprit; I know who it is and I joke with him about it (laughs — ed.). And then there was me... A couple of days ago it was really concerning, but now everyone is training. We even thought about traveling separately, but that won’t be necessary. We didn’t think about postponing the match,” Mourinho is quoted by A Bola.
The match of the eighth round of the Portuguese Championship between Porto and Benfica will take place on Sunday, October 5, and will start at 23:15 Kyiv time.
