Young defender of Kyiv’s «Dynamo» Vladislav Zakharchenko made his debut in the Ukrainian championship in the match against Kharkiv’s «Metalist 1925» (1:1) and briefly shared his impressions after the game.
— Did you expect to have to enter the game so early? Were you ready to go on the field?
— Yes, of course, everyone who is on the bench is ready to enter the field at any moment. It so happened that Christian got injured, and the coaching staff decided to trust me.
— What happened at the moment of the conceded goal? Was it a failure or a lack of concentration?
— I don’t know, I haven’t watched that moment yet. During the game, it’s hard to figure out who didn’t run where. We will watch and analyze. That’s what we have theories for; everyone can look at it for themselves.
— You have already debuted in the Ukrainian Cup, and now you debuted in the UPL. What are your impressions?
— Of course, it’s nice when the coaching staff trusts you. Everyone always wants to go on the field and help the team. But today we couldn’t accomplish our task and gain three points. A draw is, of course, disappointing, but there will be more ahead.
— The fourth consecutive draw in the championship. Do you feel the criticism from the fans and journalists?
— Criticism is always present. I believe this is just an unfortunate period, and this happens sometimes. We need to get through this.
