As a result of the matches held yesterday in the qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup, the names of two more participants in the final part of the world championship have been revealed.
The national teams of Egypt and Ghana secured their victories (against Djibouti, 3—0, and Central African Republic, 5—0, respectively) and prematurely guaranteed themselves the top spots in their groups, along with spots in the upcoming World Cup.
Now the names of 20 participants in the 2026 World Cup are known, where, let us remind you, 48 national teams will compete.
Africa (4/9): Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Ghana.
Asia (6/8): Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan, South Korea, Australia.
South America (6/6): Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay.
North America (3/6): USA, Canada, Mexico.
Oceania (1/1): New Zealand.
From Europe, 16 teams will participate in the 2026 World Cup, but no spots for the tournament have been contested yet. In addition, two more teams will qualify for the World Cup through the playoffs.
We remind you that the 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA (11 cities), Mexico (3), and Canada (2) from June 11 to July 19 next year.
