Newcastle and England defender Dan Burn has stated that a broken hand won’t stop him from playing in the upcoming national team match against Latvia in the 2026 World Cup qualification.
’I did actually break my hand, but I didn’t even realize how it happened. They told me I could play, so I’m ready — both for the game with Latvia and for Newcastle.'
’I’ve had worse injuries before. A broken hand is a minor issue. I’m ready to play and help the team,' Burn is quoted by the Daily Mail.
It should be noted that the 33-year-old footballer sustained the injury during the English championship match against Nottingham. Despite the fracture, the defender underwent a medical examination, and doctors have allowed him to continue playing.
