The Swedish Football Association announced the resignation of the national team head coach, Jon Dahl Tomasson.
The second defeat to the Kosovo national team (0:1) in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers was the last straw for the 49-year-old coach. The Swedish team lost its chances for direct qualification to the 2026 World Cup. After four rounds, the Scandinavians are in last place with one point.
It is worth noting that Tomasson took charge of the Swedish national team in February 2024.
