The home match of the WC-2026 qualifying tournament against Iceland, which will take place on November 16, the Ukrainian national team will play in the Polish capital, Warsaw, at the Legia Stadium.
This arena, where our team has not yet performed, accommodates just under 32,000 spectators and is home to the local Legia FC.
However, the Ukrainian national team has played twice in Warsaw at another arena — the National Stadium. There, the blue-yellows defeated the Poles 3−1 on March 22, 2013, during the WC-2014 qualifiers thanks to precise strikes by Andriy Yarmolenko, Oleh Husyev, and Roman Zozulya, and then lost to the hosts 1−3 in a friendly match on June 7, 2024. The only goal for the visitors was recorded by Artem Dovbyk.
