The FIFA Council has decided to elect UAF President Andriy Shevchenko and UAF Referees Committee Chair Kateryna Monzul to the permanent committees of FIFA.
The decision was made in accordance with an amendment to the FIFA Statutes approved at the 74th FIFA Congress. It addresses the necessity of restructuring FIFA’s permanent committees to ensure greater involvement of member associations in the decision-making processes and to involve more women in these processes.
According to this procedure, the FIFA Council at its last meeting appointed the chairs, vice chairs, and members of FIFA’s permanent committees for a term of four years (2025—2029).
As a result, UAF President Andriy Shevchenko has been elected as the head of the FIFA Future of Football Committee, and UAF Referees Committee Chair Kateryna Monzul as a member of the FIFA Women’s Football Stakeholders Committee.
