Roberto De Zerbi«My debut against Lorient was supposed to be an ordinary match, but from that day I realized I was in a special atmosphere. Two weeks earlier, I had already responded positively to De Zerbi’s invitation: the clubs needed to reach an agreement. I was a bit nervous, afraid that the deal might not happen, but the coach and the sporting director wanted me so much that they waited till the end.
Coach De Zerbi is a special person. In my career, I have worked with many coaches, but I’ve never met anyone like him. He brings a passion I’ve never seen on the field. He values people, and the players feel it: you can talk with him about anything. He’s not just a coach, but a person who understands you. Even before I arrived in Marseille, he said that if I or my family needed anything, he would always be ready to help,» Emerson tells Calciomercato.
