On Saturday, October 18, in the 9th round match of the Ukrainian Championship, Kyiv’s Dynamo played a 1:1 draw with Luhansk’s Zorya. The match took place in Kyiv at the Dynamo Stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi. Here is the post-match press conference of Zorya’s head coach Viktor Skrypnyk.
— Probably, when you are winning and then concede, such a draw is sad. But when you concede first, especially in a match against Kyiv’s Dynamo, and then score, resulting in a draw, it’s more positive. I am grateful to the guys. What we showed on the field today worked more or less well.
There is one tendency I noticed: when teams like Dynamo or Shakhtar score, they calm down, and then you have a chance to prove yourself if you play forward.
The goal-scoring chances we had today, both in the first and second halves, are the result of our work over the last two weeks. The players who came on as substitutes also played very well and contributed to this result. Overall, I am satisfied with how things turned out for us.
There were no questions for Viktor Skrypnyk from the media representatives.
