The Shakhtar press service made an official statement regarding the scandalous situation with the team defender Yukhym Konoplia, who previously liked videos with Russian content.
«The club conducted an internal investigation and thoroughly examined all circumstances related to Yukhym Konoplia’s activity on social networks.
The player acknowledged the error of his actions, fully realized their inadmissibility, and sincerely apologized to the fans, the team, and the club.
Konoplia also joined the purchase of a pickup truck for the representatives of the Shakhtar fan movement, who are currently defending Ukraine on the front line.
FC Shakhtar considers the situation resolved and continues to cooperate with the player in the spirit of responsibility, respect, and support for Ukrainian defenders,» the message in Shakhtar’s official Telegram channel states.
