The Ukrainian midfielder of Brentford, Yegor Yarmolyuk, sustained an injury and is sidelined for an indefinite period.
This occurred in yesterday’s 9th round match of the English Championship against Liverpool (3:2). The 21-year-old Ukrainian started in Brentford’s starting lineup, but already in the 29th minute of the match, he was injured in one of the game episodes and could not continue the game — he was replaced by Vitaly Janelt.
There is no information yet about Yarmolyuk’s injury specifics and recovery timeframe, but according to English media reports, it is initially considered to be a muscle injury. The player left the field holding his left side.
Additionally, in the current season, Yarmolyuk participated in all 11 Brentford matches (he started in 9 of them) and has one assist to his name.
