Napoli confirmed the worst fears by diagnosing midfielder Kevin De Bruyne with a serious hamstring injury.

The Belgian player left the field early in the Italian Championship match against Inter (3:1) holding the back of his right thigh. Napoli’s medical staff confirmed in their statement today that he was diagnosed with a «high-grade biceps femoris tear in the right thigh.»

There is no official information on the recovery time for this injury, but it is similar to the one Romelu Lukaku sustained during a pre-season friendly in August. De Bruyne will be out for three to four months.
