Girona’s Head Coach Uses Moroccan Legionnaire as Example for Tsygankov and Vanat

Spanish club Girona’s head coach Michel, summarizing the Spanish championship match against Oviedo (3:3), praised Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Ounahi, who scored one of the goals in the match, and used him as an example for the Ukrainian legionnaires of his team — Viktor Tsygankov and Vladyslav Vanat.

Michel

«Ounahi always takes the field with a thirst for goals. Others must do the same: Tsygankov, Vanat, Gil... All these players have quality and a level above what they showed today. When you give your all and have maximum concentration, everything gets better.

Today we had 65% possession, but it was ineffective possession. When you lack the desire to press the opponent, possession becomes a burden. At the very start of the match, after overcoming the opponent’s pressure, we passed the ball back four or five times, and this reflects the crux of the problem,» Michel said at the press conference after the match against Oviedo.

Let’s add that Ounahi did not make the starting lineup for Girona in this match and replaced Tsygankov in the 59th minute.
