Symbolic Team of the 11th Round of the UPL: No Representatives from Dynamo

The Ukrainian Premier League has concluded the 11th round of the Ukrainian Championship, with matches that took place last weekend.

11th Round Team of the UPL

The selection of the best was traditionally carried out by polling representatives of Ukrainian sports publications. Each respondent named three contenders for the title of the round’s coach, five contenders for the title of the round’s player, and also formed their own version of the symbolic team of the round.

The best coach of the 11th round was collectively recognized by a group of 37 experts as Arda Turan (Shakhtar), who won in the principled match against Dynamo (3:1). He was placed first by 32 out of the 37 experts. The top-3 also included Oleh Shandruk (Veres) and Vasyl Baranov (Kudrivka), who narrowly outpaced Vladyslav Lupashko (Karpaty).

In the top player ranking of the 11th round, we have a unique event — two players scored the same number of points. Erena Aydin (Veres) was more frequently named by experts — 28 times, but Eginallu (Shakhtar) was more frequently named as number 1 — 13 times. As a result, both scored 98 points and shared the first place. The top-5 included Neverteon (Shakhtar), Joaquin Sifuentes (Epicenter), and Nazar Domchak (Karpaty).

It is noteworthy that once again this season, there were no representatives from Dynamo in the UPL team of the round.

11th Round Team: Domchak (Karpaty) — Ponedelnik (Kolos), Babohlo (Karpaty), Veremiienko (Poltava), Henrique (Shakhtar) — Aydin (Veres), Pedrinho (Shakhtar), Dumanyuk (Kudrivka) — Popara (Zorya), Neverteon (Shakhtar) — Eginallu (Shakhtar).
