Today, adidas and the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) present the new exclusive kit for the Ukrainian national team, which will play on November 13 and 16 in the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against France and Iceland. The kit combines modernity and deep historical symbols of statehood.
— The new design is inspired by the coat of arms of the Ukrainian People’s Republic, created by Vasyl Krychevsky in 1918.
— The kit is made using innovative CLIMACOOL+ technology, providing comfort and ventilation even during the most intense matches.
— The kit is available from November 6 in adidas stores and at shop.uaf.ua.
The new design is created through the reinterpretation of elements of the coat of arms of the Ukrainian People’s Republic, which was developed in 1918 by the artist and architect Vasyl Krychevsky. He based it on the trident of Prince Volodymyr the Great, while the stylized olive wreath around it symbolized the peacefulness of the Ukrainian People’s Republic. Adidas interpreted this ornament in a modern graphic solution to emphasize the continuity of Ukrainian culture through generations, as well as the strength, dignity, and aspiration for freedom of the Ukrainian people.
Igor Marynych, Director of adidas Ukraine:
“It is important for us that the kit of the Ukrainian national team has its own voice — in design and meaning. We were inspired by the fundamental symbols of Ukrainian statehood and embodied them in modern aesthetics. This is a unique kit designed specifically for our country. We are proud of it. Such projects demonstrate how national identity becomes part of the global football culture.”
The entire line is designed to meet the highest performance requirements — to support world-class players at crucial moments and help adapt to the various climate conditions of the three host countries. Elastic fabrics with the latest CLIMACOOL+ technology are used for hot weather matches to wick moisture away more quickly and ensure body dryness. Perforated three-stripe adidas bands guarantee maximum ventilation, and strategically placed mesh inserts on the fabric and decoration provide optimal breathability even in the most extreme climatic conditions. The collection also features a new lenticular adidas logo, applied by thermal printing, creating the effect of shape change, making the logo look different depending on the angle.
Thomas Maes, Vice President of Design at adidas Football:
“When creating the collection for FIFA World Cup 26™, we aimed to combine the unique identity of each country with innovation and performance. Each design tells a story — merging cultural heritage with modern aesthetics — and is created using the latest technologies to help players feel comfortable and confident on the world’s biggest football stage. From expressive visual details and the lenticular logo to the ventilation system — this collection embodies the future of football kit design.”
The partnership between adidas and UAF is united by a common goal — the development of Ukrainian football and the support of the national team on the way to new victories.
Andriy Shevchenko, President of the Ukrainian Association of Football:
“Every new match is an opportunity to show the world who we are, who Ukrainians are. This kit is created with respect for Ukraine’s millennia-old history, for the centuries-old search for its place in the world and its own path. This ornament is a reminder that in the early 20th century, and today, Ukrainians fight for the right to their own state. We thank adidas for the partnership that helps our players feel confident both on and off the field.”
On this day, adidas simultaneously presents the largest collection of national team kits in the brand’s history — 22 sets for teams preparing for FIFA World Cup 2026. The collection includes kits for the national teams of Algeria, Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Peru, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, and Wales.
In Ukraine, kits for the national teams of Argentina, Germany, Italy, and Spain will also be presented.
