Brugge’s wing forward Carlos Forbes, who scored twice and provided an assist during the 4th round match of the UEFA Champions League group stage against Barcelona, surpassed the record of the famous English former midfielder David Beckham in matches against Barcelona in the main European club tournament.
According to Opta Sport, at the age of 21 years and 231 days, Forbes became the youngest player to both score a goal and provide an assist in a Champions League match against Barcelona, breaking the record set by David Beckham at Old Trafford in September 1998.
