As already reported, the upcoming opponent of Kyiv’s Dynamo in the main stage of the Conference League, Cyprus' Omonia, played to a draw away against Switzerland’s Lausanne (1:1) in the 3rd round of this tournament. After the end of this match, Omonia’s head coach Henning Berg lamented the unfair outcome of the game.
’I think Omonia was outstanding today, our team created the most clear goal-scoring chances. I am very impressed with my players. We were the better team today. And, of course, we aimed to win, but this is football. Additionally, we had two goals disallowed through VAR.
But how is it even possible to award such penalties (referring to the penalty against Omonia in the 9th minute of stoppage time in the second half, which was not converted, — ed.)? It spoiled the game. But I don’t want to talk about it.
I don’t know how things will pan out for us in the main stage of the Conference League, we go match by match,' said Berg.
Let us remind you that Dynamo will play against Omonia in the 4th round of the main stage of the Conference League. This match will take place on November 27 at the Cypriot club’s field in Nicosia.
