Again without Dynamo representatives: Symbolic team of the 12th round of the UPL determined

The Ukrainian Premier League has summarized the results of the 12th round of the Ukrainian Championship, which took place last weekend.

12th Round Team of the UPL

The selection of the best was traditionally conducted through a survey of representatives of Ukrainian sports media. Each respondent named three candidates for the Coach of the Round, five candidates for the Player of the Round, and also formed their version of the symbolic team of the round.

Vitalii Ponomariov was recognized as the best coach of the 12th round by a collective decision of a group of 36 experts, leading LNZ to an away victory against Dynamo (1:0). All the experts included him in their lists, 33 of them at No. 1. The top-3 also included Viktor Skrypnyk (his Zorya beat the solid Metalist 1925 — 3:1) and Ruslan Rotan (with Polissya crushed Oleksandriya — 3:0).

The title of the best footballer of the 12th round was earned by the scorer of the winning goal in the Dynamo vs. LNZ match — midfielder of the Cherkasy club, Yevhen Pastukh. Expert opinions this time varied widely, resulting in a high density in the round’s rankings, but Pastukh was both most frequently named (19 times) and most frequently named No. 1 (9). The top-5 also included Paulo Vitor (Karpaty), Nevertone (Shakhtar), Pylyp Budkovskyi (Zorya), and Bruninho (Karpaty).

It is worth noting that once again this season, not a single representative of Dynamo appeared in the UPL’s team of the round.

12th Round Team: Horokh (Veres) — Konoplia (Shakhtar), Muravskyi (LNZ), Sarapii (Polissya), Vantukh (Zorya) — Vitor (Karpaty), Pastukh (LNZ), Pedrinho (Shakhtar) — Bruninho (Karpaty), Nevertone (Shakhtar) — Budkovskyi (Zorya).
