Another representative of Kyiv’s «Dynamo» has become a player of the Ukrainian national team. This time it’s about the central defender of the «white-blues» Taras Mikhavko, who was included in the starting lineup of the Ukrainian team for today’s World Cup 2026 qualifying match against France and thus played for the country’s main team for the first time.
In his debut match for the Ukrainian national team, the 20-year-old Dynamo center-back played for 74 minutes and was then replaced by Oleksandr Zubkov.
However, it is hard to call this match positive for Mikhavko. Firstly, in the 53rd minute of this match, the Dynamo player in Ukraine’s penalty area, albeit unintentionally, fouled Olise by stepping on his foot, resulting in a penalty and a goal. Secondly, the match eventually ended with the Ukrainian team losing 0−4.
