As a result of the last, 6th round of group stage matches of the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament, which took place last Tuesday, the last direct tickets from Europe to the final part of the World Cup were won by the national teams of Spain, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, and Scotland.
In total, as of today, the names of 42 participants of the 2026 World Cup are known, where, we remind you, 48 national teams will compete.
Europe (12/16): England, France, Croatia, Portugal, Norway, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Scotland.
Africa (9/9): Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Ghana, Algeria, Cape Verde, South Africa, Senegal, Ivory Coast.
Asia (8/8): Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan, South Korea, Australia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia.
South America (6/6): Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay.
North and Central America (6/6): USA, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Curaçao, Haiti.
Oceania (1/1): New Zealand.
Additionally, two more teams will advance to the World Cup based on intercontinental playoffs.
Recall that the 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA (11 cities), Mexico (3), and Canada (2) from June 11 to July 19 next year.
