Scotland national team defender Andrew Robertson remembered his former Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota after the national team’s historic qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

He missed Qatar due to injury, and I missed that tournament because Scotland didn’t qualify. We always talked about what it’s like to play in a World Cup. I know somewhere tonight he’s smiling at me. I just couldn’t get him out of my thoughts all day,» Robertson was quoted by The Guardian.
Robertson joined Liverpool in 2017 and shared the dressing room with the late Diogo Jota, who tragically passed away this summer in a car accident.
