The 2026 World Cup qualifying match between Belgium and Liechtenstein (7—0) was significant for Manchester United goalkeeper Senn Lammens.
In addition to an impressive victory and securing the top spot in the group, Belgian fans also witnessed the debut of the 23-year-old Lammens, who started for the national team for the first time. Although the goalkeeper had little work in this match, it doesn’t diminish the importance of this event for the young player.
Lammens transferred to Manchester United from Belgian club Antwerp this September for 21 million euros.
