U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed Portuguese national team forward Cristiano Ronaldo to the White House.
According to Mais Futebol, Trump presented Ronaldo with a special key during the meeting. It is given to «special guests.»
«This key, which obviously opens no doors in the White House, is Trump’s way of honoring people with whom he and the country have established a special connection, through a gesture of goodwill,» the publication states.
Recall that the Portuguese national team has previously ensured its participation in the final part of the 2026 World Cup, finishing first in their qualifying group.
