English Liverpool is seriously considering signing a central defender in the winter transfer window, reports TEAMtalk.

According to the source, the number one target for the Reds among central defenders remains Crystal Palace captain Marc Guéhi, whom they failed to acquire at the end of the summer transfer window. At the same time, Liverpool has significant doubts about transferring Guéhi in January, fearing that Crystal Palace will not want to part with their leader in the middle of the season. It would also be wise for Marc to wait until next summer to become a free agent and secure a more favorable contract.

Thus, while retaining interest in the 25-year-old Guéhi, Liverpool is also exploring other options to strengthen the defense line.
