Today brought the world several well-known individuals who have closely tied their lives to football:

Ihor Surkis

Ihor Surkis (1958) — Ukrainian entrepreneur and public figure. Since 2002, he has been the president of the Dynamo Kyiv football club. Full knight of the Order of Merit (First Class (2006), Second Class (2004), Third Class (2003)). Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of architecture (2002) (for the architectural plan of the Dynamo training complex on Stolychnyi Highway, 45 in Kyiv).

Dieumerci Mbokani (1985) — former forward of Dynamo Kyiv. Before joining the Kyiv squad, he played for Anderlecht. Named the best footballer of the Belgian Championship in the 2012/13 season. He played 37 matches for his national team and scored 20 goals.

Radomir Antić (1948−2020) — famous Serbian footballer and coach. It is noteworthy that Antić is the only coach in history to have headed Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, and Barcelona at different times.

Nevio Scala (1947) — renowned Italian footballer and coach. He managed clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Shakhtar Donetsk, Spartak Moscow, and Beşiktaş Istanbul. In 2015, he became the president of Parma football club, which went bankrupt and had to restart its journey from the amateur Serie D league.

Torsten Frings (1976) — former German footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He played for many German clubs. Frings' last club was Toronto FC from the MLS. With the German national team, he became a silver medalist at the World and European Championships in 2002 and 2008, respectively.
