The defender of Kyiv Dynamo, Taras Mykhavko, summarized the match with Kolos (1:2) during the 13th round of the Ukrainian championship on FootballHub.
— In your opinion, what was missing most at the end of the match? It seemed like you were putting pressure on the opponent, but...
— Yes, at the end, we were really pressing, and it’s our fault that we couldn’t decide the game. At the very least, we could have gone for a draw, but we needed to act faster. The first half didn’t go well for us at all — we couldn’t find our game. We got into it in the second half, created several great moments, but it wasn’t enough to score.
— Was the team striving not just to draw, but to win?
— Of course. We’re in an unpleasant series and very much want to win. We can’t even understand the reason ourselves. But we’ll keep working.
— The first half and two conceded goals. In the first episode, you didn’t play against Klymchuk after the clearance, and in the second the shot came from right under you. How do you assess these moments?
— The first goal — it was accidental, a simple clearance over the back. It happened that I found myself on the same line with him, and he was facing our goal. Yes, it’s my mistake, and I don’t hide it.
In the second goal, maybe I wasn’t oriented, and the shot slightly grazed my boot. I could have played more aggressively, but it’s the penalty area, I didn’t want to risk it. So that’s what happened. It’s my fault — I’ll work to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
— Kolos won 2:1. In your opinion, does the score reflect the game?
— In the first half, maybe, yes. In the second, we made many shots and created lots of moments, but the result is on the scoreboard. The game will be forgotten, the result will remain. We are upset, we’ll keep working because the situation is unpleasant.
— In which direction should you work? What was discussed in the locker room?
— This needs to be analyzed within the team. There are things that need changing, but immediately after the game, it’s hard to say something specific. We will talk among ourselves, look for solutions, and make changes. It’s an internal team issue.
