The latest round in the top five European leagues has concluded, resulting in changes in the ranking of matches played by Ukrainian footballers in the continent’s strongest leagues.
The 12th round match of the Italian Serie A, in which «Genoa» played away to a 3−3 draw with «Cagliari,» became Ruslan Malinovskyi’s 182nd match in the top 5 leagues.
The Ukrainian midfielder now has 115 matches for «Atalanta,» 47 for «Genoa,» and 20 for «Marseille.» Malinovskyi’s 182 games tie the achievement of Andriy Voronin (also 182), who previously played in the Bundesliga and the Premier League.
Only Andriy Shevchenko is ahead of the «Genoa» midfielder, with more matches played in the top five European leagues—274 for «Milan» and «Chelsea.»
Additionally, there was a change in the ranking of Ukrainian players in the strongest leagues, with Vitaliy Mykolenko now solely occupying the sixth place.
The Ukrainian played for «Everton» in the away victory of the 12th round against «Manchester United» (1—0), which became his 119th match in the Premier League. Now Mykolenko is ahead of Oleksandr Zavarov by one match, who played 118 matches for «Nancy» and «Juventus.»
