The coach of Donetsk 'Shakhtar', Arda Turan, shared his thoughts regarding the dismissal of Oleksandr Shovkovskyi from the position of the head coach of Kyiv 'Dynamo'.
«I can only say the following about this news: Shovkovskyi is a coach I have envied since I came here. He is a champion and has increased competition and motivation for us in our league.
Although we only worked for five or six months, it’s a pleasure to be his rival. I respect him greatly. If we no longer meet as rivals, I wish him success in his future career.
That’s all I can say about this, because we want to focus more on our team and organization. But Shovkovskyi is a great coach whom we hold in high regard,» said Turan.
