Honored Journalist of Ukraine Oleksandr Lipenko celebrates his 80th birthday today!
Alexander LipenkoOleksandr Anatolyevich’s passion for football originated from childhood, as did his love for Dynamo Kyiv. Growing up in Kyiv, he studied at the Dynamo Academy and played as a goalkeeper in the Dynamo youth team, in which for the first time in history he became the champion of the USSR in 1960 - the "white-blue" then defeated Moscow "Spartak" in the final.
Later, Oleksandr Lipenko started playing rugby, received the title of master of sports and became a five-time champion of Ukraine as part of the Kyiv Aviator, as well as a silver medalist of the USSR championship.
After the end of his active playing career, Alexander Anatolyevich continued his connection with sports in a different role - a sports journalist, having received a professional translation education. For his brilliant work and outstanding contribution to the development of Ukrainian sports, Lipenko was awarded the highest journalistic distinction "Golden Pen" and the title "Honored Journalist of Ukraine".
On the day of the 80th anniversary of the hero of the day, the president of FC Dynamo Kyiv Igor Surkis congratulated him.
