Three groups of Dynamo Kyiv academy, ages U-14, U-15 and U-16 (footballers born in 2007, 2008 and 2009), who have been training in Germany for the last two weeks, played their first friendly matches.

Recall that the guys came at the invitation of FC Cologne, which provided the Dynamo team with the opportunity to fully train and play friendly matches with leading German academies. In Germany, the guys work under the guidance of coaches Yuri Yastrebinsky, Yuri Dmitrulin, Evgeny Lozinsky, Nikolai Ishchenko, Maxim Kozlyuk, Vladimir Ikonnikov and Alexander Goncharov.

On Wednesday, on the Independence Day of Ukraine, the people of Kiev held their first friendly matches, their rival was FC Siegen from the city of the same name near Cologne. Although there are teams of three age categories in Germany, they are not working in full force yet, so it was decided to play two matches with mixed teams. One is football players born in 2009 and 2008, and the other is born in 2008 and 2007. The first meeting lasted two halves of 30 minutes, and the second - two halves of 40 minutes.

The organizers of the game, led by Vyacheslav Steshenko, co-owner of the KLO gas station network in the capital, and Yury Dulenchuk, head of the Dynamo Kyiv fan club and the Ukrainehilfe Salchendorf charity organization, made every effort to arrange a real football holiday, as well as to make the stay of Kyiv residents useful: entrance to the stadium and refreshments were free, but anyone who wished could leave a donation in the form of monetary contributions aimed at supporting the Ukrainians.

Both games turned out to be interesting, entertaining and useful. Before the first of them, the anthem of Ukraine was played at the Leimbachstadion, which was performed a cappella by a girl from Ukraine. Our guys, who had not played official matches for half a year, while the war in Ukraine was going on, were happy to take to the field, feel the rhythm of the game, the ardor and taste of the struggle. We also note that in the Dynamo squad for the first minutes of the match, three German boys entered the field, who wanted to support their Ukrainian colleagues in a friendly meeting.

The duel between the junior Dynamo players began with attacks by the hosts, who were almost a year older. But the people of Kiev were able to cope with the initial onslaught of the Germans, with the help of the defenders and the goalkeeper Pozhar, who saved his team several times. Very soon, the Dynamo team felt their game and completed a perfectly played combination with Gurin's accurate shot from the left edge of the penalty area.

However, the hosts were not upset for long and after two minutes they were able to restore the advantage with a shot from an average distance. After that, our goalkeeper still eliminated the one-on-one exit and coped with the opponent's dangerous shot on target.

Due to the heat, the referee took a break in each half so that the players of both teams could drink water and freshen up. Shortly before this break, the Siegen players scored again, hitting the far corner, and in the second half of the half, the opponent was able to complete one more of his attacks. After that, the game moved to the half of the Germans' field, and shortly before the whistle for a break, Rybak managed to score the ball "into the locker room" with a left kick into the far corner of the goal and reduce the gap in the score.

The second half began with Dynamo's pressure on the hosts' goal, which paid off: after a cross from the flank, Bogomolov managed to equalize. In the future, our guys did not lose the initiative from their own hands and transferred the game to someone else's half of the field. In several episodes, they lacked literally a few centimeters for the ball to end up in the net or for the goalkeeper to reliably act. And at the end of the match, the Germans already managed to score a ball “into the locker room”, which allowed them to win - 4:3. Immediately after that, the final whistle blew.

As for the second match, Dynamo also competed with an opponent a year older. Here, the Dynamo team seized the initiative from the first minutes and pressed the opponent to his goal. But until a certain time, it didn’t come to scoring goals, the goalkeeper coped with long-range shots from Kiev, or the ball flew just above the goal. Once a good pass on the left was intercepted by an opponent, and shots after standard positions did not reach the goal. There was a lot of struggle on the field, no one wanted to concede. The most interesting part of the team was postponed for the second half.

After the break, the Kievans increased their momentum, as a result, the partners rolled the ball to Kirill Rybak, who took part in both fights, he went one on one with the goalkeeper, oriented himself well and shot right into the corner of the goal. In the future, our team also continued to own the initiative and created more dangerous chances. But shortly before the final whistle, the opponent managed to score and level the score, and the score did not change until the end of the match.

Both games were held in a friendly, warm atmosphere, many Ukrainians living in Germany, in particular, in Siegen and nearby settlements, came to support the young Dynamo. Everyone understands that the result in such fights is of secondary importance. The most important thing is that the pupils of the Dynamo Academy received such a long-awaited match practice, and the coaches received information about the state of the guys, their level of training, physical condition and saw what they need to work on, what components to pay special attention to in training. Dynamo players, as a token of gratitude to the organizers, presented them with a club T-shirt with the signatures of all the players.

Recall that the stay of three Dynamo teams in Germany and holding friendly matches became possible thanks to FC Cologne, who invited them to Germany, manager Xia Xio, who helps with organizing the whole process and solving all domestic issues that arise during the first weeks of living in Cologne, as well as the city government, which is engaged in the registration of Dynamo residents, so that in the future they have access to the medical system, education and other social services. Players and coaches feel the attention, care, sincere hearts and wonderful, cordial attitude of all the people they meet in Germany. They greatly appreciate the desire to help and make their stay away from home as pleasant and comfortable as possible for those who have already become friends for them in a new country.
