To please absolutely everyone is an almost impossible task. Especially when you are the head coach of the national team. Therefore, no matter who Alexander Petrakov put as the basis of his team, no matter who he called to the training camp, there were, are and will be questions regarding his choice.

Frankly, in the current difficult time, one should not look for roughness in complex issues, because there will always be such roughness. Nevertheless, I will allow myself a few remarks regarding the personnel selection of the Blue-Yellow mentor.
So, the absence of the main goalkeeper of Shakhtar Trubin among the goalkeepers immediately caught my eye. Anatoly started the season well - he has not a single conceded goal, while his main competitor for a place in the "frame" - Dynamo Buschan - conceded as many as 11 goals in the last four meetings.
I understand that Petrakov trusts George, and that his guilt in those goals should be shared at least equally with the Dynamo defense, which is now frankly not impressive. But why, then, did all this protection “in a crowd” end up on the main list?
Yes, I know that Trubina will challenge Rotan to youth matches. However, in my opinion, in this case it is important to prioritize: the national team is the highest status for a player. The best of the best should go there. To be motivated to play, grow, develop. But in the end, Trubin, who has full-fledged playing practice and excellent statistics, does not get there, and Lunin, who does not have playing practice, receives a full-fledged call from the word absolutely. In my opinion, not quite the right approach to the issue.
I mentioned above about the full "basket" of Dynamo defenders in the list: after all, Alexander Vasilyevich overdid it in this case. As well as with the challenge of the current Pitmen Mykhailychenko, by the way.
It turns out that in order to get into the national team, you only need to play in a top club. At least by our standards. At least occasionally. From Anderlecht, Bogdan was not called up to the national team - he had no playing practice. At Shakhtar he has so far, but his current game is unlikely to reach the level of the main team of the country. Advance for the future?
But why not direct such an advance to other players? Not from our two giants. From the same "Dawn", for example. It turns out that the Luhansk team is the undisputed leader of the UPL, but only one player from the Luhansk team (Nazarina) came to the attention of the coaches of the Ukrainian national team, and he ended up on the reserve list.
In the same place, that is, among the reservists, was the defender of "Dnepr-1" Sarapiy. But this is nice. Eduard's game was a real revelation at the start of the national championship.
But Besedin's game frankly disappointed. But he still came into view. Albeit in the status of a reserve, but nonetheless. Why not try to dig deeper? Why, for example, not call Boryachuk, who showed himself superbly in Metallist-1925?
And why didn’t the best (in my subjective opinion) midfielder of the current Shakhtar, Bondarenko, wait for the challenge, but Zubkov from the same Shakhtar, who so far clearly does not fall into the “notes”, deserved this challenge.
In general, as always, there are questions about the choice of the head coach of the country's main team. And these questions are not out of harm, but for the good of the cause. But Petrakov, of course, knows better from the height of his position. Because it is he who is responsible for the result.
If the desired result is obtained, such questions will most likely have the connotation of "dogs bark - the caravan moves on." And if, God forbid, there is no result?
