Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, the coach of the Ukrainian national team, called for a boycott of Russian athletes on his Instagram page.

"This is a football stadium in the city of Irpin. Earlier, a new generation of Ukrainian football players trained here. And now it is abandoned. Because of the war.

I know: the goalkeeper protects the goal from the opponent's ball. But how to protect them from a hostile Russian missile? I know: fans can accept a player or not. But how to accept this unbearable silence in the stands?

I appeal to everyone who is united by the love of sports! We must not be silent! All of us, the entire democratic world, are a united team in the fight for victory over evil!
